Last Days of Shooting...
And a little bit of magic
We are done shooting footage with our blue "green screen" and are starting to move on to building the structure that the projections will find their home in. Leaning toward fabric at the moment, more detailed planning at the Armory will ensue tomorrow! Sad to be done shooting, but how exciting to move on in our process- time to build!

Projection Shooting Has Begun...
Hold onto your hats- they are naturals! We started really diving into shooting footage for our projections today. Below are shots of Team Evol marching in reference to a Francisco Goya painting, The Shootings of May 3rd in Madrid . Marching is one scene out of many that we plan to shoot relating to our original ideas of the "ideal" world and government and authority. More to come!

Scrolling through Week Two
Our second week ended with some do-ing, finally! After looking at long scrolling shots in films like "The Stalker" by Andrei Tarkovsky and "Damnation" by Bela Tarr, we got down and dirty making our own scrolling drawings to film next week. We also checked out Felix Gonzalez Torres's work to discuss how we might make an installation that involves giving/gifting to viewers.
Our "gang" sign for Team EVOL:
We are really excited to create an installation involving the elevator at the Armory!
